At the front by the bayonet lug there is a hole where you would normally have a loop of metal to secure a sling on to. ... Thanks for the suggestion but after reading the FAQ - they say it won't fit the Ruger 556. The Ruger doesn't have a "standard" FSB. I'm beginning to think I may need to use duct tape. All parameters for both included traces are exactly the same except scope height is 1.5" for the red trace and 1.8" for the green trace. This is about the same difference as a set of Medium rings versus a set of High rings.
